The July 2020 issue of The Muslim World is a special issue on Black Muslim Portraiture in the Modern Atlantic. Three of the articles are on Yarrow Mamout. I wrote the first and co-authored the second.
I wrote this article about Yarrow and his family. Rethinking Yarrow Mamout.
Asma Naeem, chief curator of the Baltimore Museum of Art, and I co-authored this article about James Alexander Simpson's portrait of Yarrow and Asma's work in displaying the portrait at the National Portrait Gallery for three years. Two Museums and the Simpson Portrait of Yarrow Mamout.
Carol Soltis, the Peale curator at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, wrote this third one. Yarrow Mamout and the Charles Willson Peale Portrait of 1819
